Fairington precinct is the only Lithonia-Stonecrest polling place change for Nov. 3
Fairington voters heading to the old New Birth church address will find a locked door; their Nov. 3 ballots must now be cast at Fairington Elementary School.

Fairington precinct voters in Lithonia and Stonecrest will cast their Nov. 3 ballots at a new address: Fairington Elementary School, not New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. It is the only permanent Election Day polling place move for Lithonia and Stonecrest since the 2024 general election.
In DeKalb County, a ballot generally counts only at the voter’s one assigned precinct polling place — not at any location in the county; after 5:00 p.m., however, a voter who arrives at the wrong precinct may cast a provisional ballot. A moved polling place is a quiet administrative shift: no single announcement reaches every house, and walking to the old Fairington address means a locked door on Election Day.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
One polling place change since 2024
- Fairington precinct — Old (2024): New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 6400 Woodrow Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038. New (2026): Fairington Elementary School, 5505 Phillip Bradley Drive, Lithonia, GA 30038.
DeKalb County’s 2024 baseline is the Polling Place Report 6.4.24, used for the November 5, 2024 general election; the May 19, 2026 printable polling-place list reflects current assignments.
Two earlier moves won’t affect Nov. 3: the county’s 2025 Stone Mountain-area precinct moves returned after the special primary, and a Stonecrest-area precinct shifted from Murphey Candler Elementary to Arabia Mountain High for this year’s primary/runoff but is back for the general election.
If your precinct is not on the changed list
- Lithonia (LD) precinct still votes at Lithonia City Hall, 6920 Main Street, Lithonia, GA 30058 — unchanged between the 2024 report and the May 19, 2026 list.
- Lithonia High School, 2440 Phillips Road, remains a polling place in the 2024 report and the current 2026 county list.
- Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road, Stonecrest, GA 30038, remains a polling place in the 2024 report and the current 2026 county list.
Since Fairington is the only permanent Lithonia/Stonecrest Election Day move since 2024, if your street is not in the Fairington precinct, your last-election polling place should still be open on Nov. 3.
How to double-check your own address
Voters can confirm their assigned Election Day polling place by address through Georgia’s My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov — enter your voter information, then select Poll Location.

Early voting runs October 13–30, 2026 in DeKalb County across 22 locations, up from 20 — and unlike Election Day, an early voter may use any designated DeKalb early-voting site regardless of precinct.
Lithonia/Stonecrest-area early-voting sites for this cycle include:
- New Bethel A.M.E. Church, 8350 Rockbridge Road, Lithonia
- Salem-Panola Library, 5137 Salem Road, Lithonia
- Redan-Trotti Library, 1569 Wellborn Road, Lithonia
- Stonecrest Library, 3123 Klondike Road, Stonecrest
What the county owes you
The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections took up polling place changes — permanent and temporary — at its September 10, 2026 meeting, approved them unanimously, and attached a voter-communications plan.
DeKalb County has posted polling place change notices for the November 3, 2026 General/Special Election, but it has not spelled out every permanent Election Day change precinct by precinct — which is why voters should verify by their own address rather than assume.
If your polling place on Nov. 3 does not match what you expected, call DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections at 404-298-4020 or email [email protected] so officials can sort it out.
